Robert's is a must go if you are in the Hamptons. It is a quaint little restaurant with great ambiance, classy dark wood decor, and charming staff, with attentive, friendly service. The chef, Natalie Byrnes knows what she's doing. The food is well prepared and the focus is the quality of ingredients. We came for dinner and here is what we had:
*Tomato salad with fresh burrata, grilled slices of bread, basil and balsamic. This dish was delicious, the tomatoes were fresh and sweet and the burrata was creamy and went so well with the grilled bread.
* Grilled calamari on a bed of arugula. Another amazing dish, so simple but so well executed. The calamari was tender, with a spicy jalapeno rub and a citrusy dressing.
* Seared rare tuna with a sesame crust, with a fennel salad and caper berries. Melt in your mouth tuna, so good!
* Fresh tagliatele with black summer truffles and parmesan. I think this was my favorite dish.
* Slow cooked lamb with vegetables. Another great dish, with fall off the bone pieces of lamb with a tomato-vegetable sauce.
*dessert was a pistachio nougat. It was perfect to finish the meal. Light, with little bits of praline. Everything was solid, well made, fresh and delicious.

Not sure why it took me so long to write this review, i've been dinning at Robert's for years and by far and away this is the BEST restaurant in the Hamptons! I can't say enough about the quality and preparation of the food. In the winter it's warm and cozy inside and you can't beat eating outside in their garden in the summer!

Try the ricotta gnocchi, its absolutely delicious.

Had dinner at Roberts a couple weeks ago and was very impressed. It's very quaint and charming. The menu is American and the wines delicious. This is not a Hamptons scene restaurant, and very romantic. Highly suggested for date night. Had the monkfish and it was impeccable.

this is probably the best restaurant east of Riverhead. it's quiet, comfortable, and serves fare as fine as anywhere in Southampton, Bridgehampton, or East Hampton. that might sound unimpressive, but if you know the area and the types of restaurants i'm talking about, it's a decent feat.

I haven't been here in quite awhile, but I am looking forward to the next time I can enjoy this restaurant. Robert's is truly a gem. It has it all: ambiance, an intriguing menu and most importantly, good food. Located in the Hamptons area, this place possesses all of the charm that has made the Hamptons famous, but none of the snootiness that it is often associated with. The last time I ate here, I had a fennel salad with oranges, onion and parmesan to begin. Simple as it was, the flavor combination was amazing. I also had a sole dish that was served with black olives, tomatoes and capers. The fish was fresh and perfectly cooked. I also sampled a homemade gnocchi. Typically, I am not a fan. However, Robert's sold me with their version. A bit out of the way for most, but worth the trip. I ate here with my family on both visits, but would recommend this place for a romantic or special occasion.
